Description
Nowadays, due to the increasing development of industry, economy, transport and other branches, more and more attention is drawn to the environmental protection and care. The world is facing critical challenges such as climate change, resource depletion and environmental degradation. For this reason, the application and implementation of green industrialization methodologies and life cycle analyses of products and processes is becoming increasingly common. Green industrialization methodologies help industries to be more sustainable, and therefore more competitive. This work paper emphasizes the role of the green industrialization in fostering sustainability on the production process. It focuses on the potential of green industrialization for improved competitiveness of small and medium – sized enterprises by integrating environmental practices on the application of computer – integrated tools and simulations for product optimization, with the aim of reducing raw materials, energy consumption, etc., and increasing product quality. The results show that product improvements such as reduction of thickness and thus weight of the product and optimization of a better injection machine. The work paper shows how by optimizing a process based on computer integrated tools, small and medium – sized enterprises can not only reduce the negative impacts on the environment, they can also increase their position and competitiveness on the market.
